Our mission is to house, protect, provide healthcare and education, plant seeds of hope and inspire dreams in the children of Imani.
We want the children to know they are no longer orphans. Each one of them are God's most beloved and beautiful creations and they belong in the IMANI family.
Our Story
Our Story
Our IMANI journey began in 2012 while on a family vacation to Africa. Leigh wanted to visit an orphanage and a muddy sign pointed the way to IMANI. Our guide requested permission for us to visit and when we did, we were surrounded by the loving hugs of children. We returned to visit a few times since then, sending gifts and donations between visits, helping with medical and basic needs during visits, all while growing in love and watching God work through each struggle and season. On Mother's Day 2016, I personally accepted my calling to mother the children of IMANI. Now we are fully committed to this calling on our lives.
